Director of Technology Services
The Dallastown Area School District is seeking a highly-motivated individual to join our team as the Director of Technology Services in May 2023.
The Dallastown Area School District is a premiere school district, located in South Central Pennsylvania. With an annual budget of approximately $125 million dollars, we have annual enrollment of more than 6400 students (k-12), across eight (8) school buildings. Our staff of more than 740 employees are dedicated to “Inspiring and creating pathways for student success.”
In this position, you will be responsible for:
- Providing innovative technology solutions to all staff to enhance productivity and learning
- Directing the technology services department to ensure technological changes and practices are implemented to foster curricular and instructional need, as well as supportive of administrative/business best practices
- Coordinating with the database network and systems/technical support administrators to include policies, procedures and protocols; physical safety and security; cyber and information/data security; infrastructure maintenance; end-user support services; and life cycle planning and implementation.
- Working collaboratively with district and building administrators to develop and assist in the development of technology change, improvements, and the implementation of integration best practices K-12 related to curricular resources, hardware need identification, and instructional delivery and activity development.
- Leading the development of and administer the technology department budget in close collaboration with district stakeholders, ensuring a focus on instructional and business needs
- Collaboratively leading technology professional development planning and implementation to ensure consistency and practices that match district goals

| Requirements |
- Teaching certification, with minimum 5 years teaching experience
- PA Instructional Technology Specialist Certification
- Minimum Master’s degree in Instructional Technology/Systems or related field
- Administrative/Principal’s Certification preferred
- Experience managing and leading instructional technology in educational institutions
- Demonstrated ability to work cooperatively with others and acceptable record of attendance is required.
