Security Assistant - 10 Month (Full-time/Benefits)
The Security Assistant assists administration and professional staff in maintaining public safety and security at all CBSD school campuses and work closely with local emergency service agencies on matters relative to individual school needs.
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
 
  • Supervision of faculty and student parking lots, lounges, bus platform, rest rooms, lunch & learn areas, etc.
  • Patrol of building interior/exterior on a regular basis.
  • Occasional performance of extra duties throughout the school year on evenings and/or weekends.
  • Distribution and monitoring of student parking passes.
  • Responds to and controls emergency situations; administers first aid and CPR within certification categories.
  • All other duties as assigned.

Requirements High school diploma or equivalent and training from a State or Municipal law enforcement-training academy, contract security, in-house proprietary security, military police, PA Act 235, EMT, and/or comparable Emergency Services training.
A minimum of one (1) year experience in private security, fire, EMS, military unit and/or public/law enforcement agency.  Experience must be in a "team" environment as part of a larger security, military, emergency services or law enforcement contingent covering a campus, industrial, utility, institutional or municipality. Experience working with adolescents.
