Southern Lehigh School District is currently accepting applications for a substitute Math teacher. Located approximately 1 hour north of Philadelphia, Southern Lehigh is committed to educational excellence and dedicated to developing in each student a passion for creativity and learning. SLSD is a PA Public School serving approximately 3000 students in grades K-12 in five exceptional school buildings.
TEACHING RESPONSIBILITIES:
The successful candidate will be an enthusiastic professional with teaching experience. Candidates must have a valid PA teaching certificate in Math and specific experience teaching secondary level Math students. PA certified Math teachers are qualified to teach courses involving the following content: arithmetic equations, algebra, geometry, trigonometry, calculus, fractions, percentages, ratios, graphs, and proportions. Must possess strong instructional talents and have demonstrated effective classroom management practices. Must share in the District's mission to promote student success in a supportive positive school climate. Excellent communication, organizational and collaboration skills are required. Demonstrated ability to build relationships with students, staff, parents and the District-wide community are necessary. Experience teaching in a technology rich, 1:1 school environment is preferred. The successful candidates will work collaboratively with colleagues and District leadership to deliver highly engaging curricular experiences to students.
EDUCATION/CREDENTIALS:

Minimum Bachelor’s Degree.

Active and valid 7-12 Mathematics Teaching Certificate issued by the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania.

Must present acceptable PA State Police, Child Abuse, FBI Fingerprint clearances and PA Arrest/Conviction Report certification form.
EXPERIENCE:
Minimum experience teaching math in a public school setting is preferred.
