Supervisor of Pupil Services
Description                          

The job of Supervisor of Pupil Services & Programs was established for the purpose/s of developing and implementing a comprehensive system of Pupil Services, Psychology, Counseling, Nursing, Special Education, Equitable Participation, and Act 89 Services for DCIU.
 
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS INCLUDE, BUT ARE NOT LIMITED TO:
 
  • Assures e?ective appraisal, utilization, and supervision of all assigned personnel for the purpose of providing feedback to sta? on performance.
  • Communicates with internal and external audiences on federal and state initiatives related to Pupil Services, Nursing, Special Education, Equitable Participation, and Act 89 in addition to representing the DCIU in community and county meetings related to Pupil Services topics for the purpose of e?ective and e?cient program operations.
  • Coordinates program development and serves as a liaison between organizations for designated programs and coordinates DCIU Threat Assessments and Crisis Postvention E?orts and such activities within Delaware County for the purpose of delivering e?ective, state of the art programming, and leading the intermediate unit and district schools in Threat Assessments and Crisis Postvention E?orts.
  • Develops and implements goals and objectives and long-range plans (e.g. for DCIU Student Services, Nursing, Special Education, Equitable Participation, and Act 89) for the purpose of providing needed programs and services that address the critical needs of DCIU and DCIU clients.
  • Develops operates, plans, implements, assesses, coordinates, and supervises Pupil Services, Psychology and Evaluations, Nursing, Act 89, Special Education, and Equitable Participation programs of the DCIU for the purpose of meeting the needs articulated by local clients and maintaining compliance with current mandates.
  • Facilitates and collaborates with department directors, supervisors, district directors, and nonpublic school administrators for the purpose of coordinating the program and planned course development, operation, and evaluation.
  • Coordinate and collaborates with Teaching and Learning Division to support social emotional learning.
  • Implements knowledge of current research and evidence-based practices in Pupil Services, Nursing, and Special Education for the purpose of operating e?ective programs and services.
  • Ensures comprehensive delivery of service of Act 89, Title 1, and EP by itinerant psychological and counseling staff.

Requirements The ideal candidate will have the following quali?cations:
  • Master’s degree, doctorate preferred.
  • Valid PA Educational Specialist Certi?cation (Prefer, School Psychologist) Minimum of 3 years of administrative experience
  • Principal or Supervisor Pupil Personnel Services Certi?cation and Supervisor Special Education Certi?cation
