The West Shore School District, located between Harrisburg and York in southcentral Pennsylvania, has eight elementary schools, three middle schools, two high schools, and a virtual learning academy. With more than 7,500 students, over 930 staff members, and an annual budget of approximately $135,000,000, West Shore is the third largest public school district in the Greater Harrisburg metropolitan area.

Role of the Director of Business Affairs in Supporting Our Why
The Director of Business Affairs is an important contributing member of a dynamic leadership team and an essential advisor responsible for the day-to-day administration of the school district.
In this cabinet level administrative position, you will work closely with District leaders and oversee staff involved in the total business and financial operations of the District, including purchasing, payroll, employee benefits, insurances, investments, debt service, construction and capital project funds, and other related areas.
We are looking for a qualified school business administrator with:
- Bachelor's degree in business administration, finance, accounting, or other related field; a Master's degree is preferred.
- Strong management, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- Previous experience in school district business with recognition as PRSBO or PRSBA through PASBO (not required).
- Knowledge in federal and state legislation related to school funding, budgeting, financial planning, fund accounting and reporting, service procurement and bid process experience, and such alternatives t othe above as the Board of School Directors may find appropriate and acceptable.
