Advocacy is an essential responsibility of school leaders. Without it, nothing will change.
That said, advocacy can be time-consuming, challenging and downright frustrating, and we want to make it easier for you!
Join PASBO and PASA on March 28, 2019 for an Advocacy Symposium, to learn how to simplify the advocacy process, strengthen your relationships with policymakers, build your internal advocacy team and make your advocacy more effective for your LEA, for your community and for public education in general.
You’ll learn tips for navigating the politics of Harrisburg and hear from policymakers about the types of advocacy and information that are most impactful in influencing their decisions. You’ll hear success stories from your colleagues on developing relationships with legislators, building internal advocacy plans and successfully advocating for positive change for their LEAs. Most importantly, you’ll learn how to turn your hard-earned education expertise as a school leader into effective advocacy with your legislators. Bring your superintendent and learn together how to strengthen your LEA’s advocacy team!
