ORIENTATION SESSION:
An online Orientation Web Session will be held on Monday, May 24 at 12:00 Noon.
This session will overview the course and expectations. This call will not be recorded.
 
COURSE CONTENT:
Effective purchasing – in its totality – is an art. Mastering that art requires command of three concepts: legality, procedure, and making the best deal. This course offers a foundation in each and is a “must” for anyone involved in school procurement activities. Topics include:
  • The law of Pennsylvania school purchasing
  • Purchasing practice and procedure
  • Construction contracts and bidding
  • Specification writing and bid award
