What is the Emerging Leaders Summit?
There’s no shortage of leadership lessons to be learned from the Battle of Gettysburg.  Join colleagues from across the state this summer in Gettysburg to take part in PASBO’s Emerging Leaders Summit.  The hallowed ground of the Gettysburg National Military Park becomes your classroom as we highlight leadership lessons of the past and translate them into real life situations you can relate to in the present.  This program will provide you with tools you can use to improve your leadership skills at your district.  We will accomplish this by exploring leadership characteristics from the officers involved in the Battle and show you how those same lessons can be applied today.  Come join us for this unique leadership experience. 

Is This Event Right For You?
The Emerging Leaders Summit is for people new to School Business (8 years or less of experience) who are looking to grow their leadership skills within the industry.

What is the Cost of the Event?
The cost for the attendee is travel and lodging. PASBO staff will make the reservations at the Wyndham Gettysburg for August 15 and August 16, and then the attendee will pay at check in. The room rate is $148.00 + 11% tax per night. 

How Can I Attend?

You will need the following to complete your application:
  1. Current resume,
  2. Short essay (400-500 words) which will explain your goals for this leadership training and the opportunity to utilize the results in your current position, 
  3. A letter of support for your participation. This letter can be from a mentor, immediate supervisor, PASBO Regional Chapter Officer, or another PASBO member who works closely with you. 
Applications are due June 12.

When Will I Hear if I Have Been Accepted?
Applicants will be notified by PASBO Staff by June 19 if they secured a spot for the Summit. Applicants must confirm with PASBO by July10 if they are able to attend.
