Demand Response Programs - A Revenue Opportunity Webcast

School Districts have an opportunity to realize revenue by temporarily curtailing electricity use during a time when the demand is dangerously high. Demand response is offered by the PJM electrical power grid that services all of Pennsylvania and is designed to reduce the risk of power outages on very high demand days. This strategy is a relatively easy way for LEAs to achieve some budget relief by receiving compensation for reducing the amount of power a school district uses during a curtailment event, and at the same time demonstrate environmental leadership. This webcast will provide an overview of Demand Response programs, and present 4 different LEA case studies.
