The webcast recording provides an analysis of the education funding contained in the state budget that Governor Rendell signed on October 9. Presenters will examine major line items in the Department of Education budget including Basic and Special Education Funding, Accountability Block Grant, Education Assistance Funding and charter school reimbursement for the current fiscal year. The program also reviews the new Fiscal Code requirements including safety committee certification and how employees paid with federal ARRA dollars are classified for Social Security purposes. Also a look at how federal dollars in the Basic Education Funding line item will require retroactive reporting under ARRA.
