Facilities Benchmarking and Best Practices
December 2008Over a billion dollars is spent annually by Pennsylvania schools in the area of facilities maintenance and custodial operations. To improve efficiencies in these areas, PASBO conducts the bi-annual facilities benchmarking study to collect and quantify key measures. The data from the Fall 2008 study will be presented and discussed in terms of how schools can use the data to create best practices by comparing it to the universe of school districts in Pennsylvania, setting internal goals and objectives, and tracking and measuring progress toward these goals.
