ABOUT THE PROGRAM
The Conference combines the PASBO Food Service Directors Conference and the Pennsylvania Department of Agriculture (PDA) Commodity Show. Food Service Directors get the benefits of both events in one, saving both time and money. You will receive important, relevant tools that can be used to improve your school food service programs. Don’t miss this chance to share ideas with your peers, try new products and renew your enthusiasm for serving the children of Pennsylvania.

EXHIBITS
Learn about the latest new products, services and solutions for your food service needs.  Eighty commodity, food product, beverage, software and equipment vendors will be featured in the exhibit hall.
Note:  All school food service staff are invited to attend the exhibits free of charge. No pre-registration is necessary for those attending only the exhibits. Registration and payment is necessary for all education programs.

NETWORKING OPPORTUNITIES 
Get to know your counterparts from many school districts throughout the state while enjoying meals, exhibits, a reception and lively discussions during the educational sessions. 
Note: A limited number of interns and students from college food service related programs will be invited to participate in the conference.  If you know an intern who would like to attend, please contact Kimber at kpierich@pasbo.org.

REGISTRATION & DISCOUNTS
Early Bird Discount - Register by October 17 and save on your registration.
Buy One Full Conference, Bring Additional Staff from Your LEA at 25% off - Register one person for the full two-day conference and additional staff from your LEA can register for the same workshop at 25% off.  If registering online, you will receive a discount code in your confirmation that must be provided to get the discount for additional staff. The member status of the individual will determine the member or non-member price and the 25% discount will be applied to applicable fee.
Registration Deadline - Register by October 24 to ensure your materials and name badge will be waiting for you onsite.
Walk-ins - Walk-ins will be accepted on a space available basis at an additional fee of $35 per registrant.
Business Member(Non-Exhibitor/Sponsor) - A higher registration fee will apply. Contact PASBO for details.
Cancellations - In order to cover some of the expenses, a $50 service fee will be retained for each face-to-face workshop cancellation within 120 hours (5 days) of the scheduled workshop.  Transfers and substitutions are permitted at no additional cost unless the transfer or substitution is from a member to a non-member, in which case the difference between a non-member and member rate will be charged. All cancellation, transfer or substitution requests should be made in writing to kpierich@pasbo.org prior to the scheduled event.
 
CREDITS
Both Days:       PASBO CEUs = 5          
Day 1 only:      PASBO CEUs = 3          
Day 2 only:      PASBO CEUs = 3         

Sessions will meet partial requirements of the HHFKA Professional Standards.  

LODGING/DIRECTIONS
The event will be held at The Penn Stater Conference Center Hotel at 215 Innovation Boulevard, State College. A room Block will be reserved until October 7, 2017.  Please be aware that the room block may be sold out before the deadline date. To make reservations, call (800) 233-7505. Identify that you will be attending the PASBO conference (Ref #PASK17A).  Room rates are Single/Double $119; Triple $129; Quad $139; plus occupancy tax.
